Looking for a fun vacation this summer? Come to Wildwood! This will be the 11th year NAGA has brought the “Battle at the Beach” Submission Tournament to Wildwood, New Jersey. Due to the tremendous turnout, the event will span two days featuring 360 gi and no-gi divisions. The event will take place at the beautiful Wildwood Convention Center. Saturday will be the ADULT gi & no-gi competition, Sunday will be the CHILDREN and TEENS gi & no-gi competitions. Wildwood is one of the hottest summer spots in New Jersey. With a huge boardwalk, amusement parks, water parks, shops, and plenty of beaches, there are plenty of fun activities to participate in. Come compete and have a great weekend with your family and friends! This event is nationally RANKED!

100 CHAMPIONSHIP BELTS AWARDED
NAGA will be awarding 100 CHAMPIONSHIP BELTS to all Children, Teen, Adult, Masters, Directors and Executive Expert Division Winners.

WILDWOOD CONVENTION CENTER
The Battle at the Beach is being held at the new, 7000 seat Wildwood Convention Center. The state-of-the-art facility is fully AIR CONDITIONED, right on the boardwalk, and all seating is stadium style and fully cushioned. We have the OCEAN VIEW side on the arena which means that the entire half of the venue is solid glass with nothing but sand, ocean and the breeze on our own private 10,000 square foot ocean front deck.

SAMURAI SWORDS TO CHILDREN & TEEN WINNERS
NAGA will be awarding custom engraved SAMURAI SWORDS to all Children & Teen 1st place winners! Octagon medals will be awarded to all Adult divisions winners. All Adult, Kids & Teens 2nd & 3rd place winners take home octagon medals. Many adult competitors have asked to replace swords with gold medals. Adults who place 1st will have the option to obtain samurai swords at the NAGA T-shirt Booth (for a nominal fee).

TEAM AWARDS
All 6 of our top teams (Adult Gi, No-Gi, and Children 17 yrs. & under) will receive a huge Championship Cup for their team.

ADULT GI & NO-GI SATURDAY, KIDS/TEENS SUNDAY
All adults (both gi and no-gi) will compete on Saturday, all children and teens (gi & no-gi) will compete on Sunday. This will allow each day’s event to finish at a reasonable time.

MMA EVENT SATURDAY NIGHT
There will be 15 MMA fights on Saturday night at the Wildwood Convention Center. For more information on this action packed night visit www.RealityFighting.tv.

WEIGH-IN ON FRIDAY OR SATURDAY
NAGA will be offering all competitors the option of registering and weighing-in the night BEFORE the tournament from 5 PM to 8 PM. The weigh-in will take place at the venue. If you cannot make it on Friday, all competitors can register/weigh-in all day on Saturday or Sunday beginning at 8 AM. You can weigh-in up till your divisions begins. You do not have to weigh-in with your gi on.

The Good Fight Cherry Hill Challenge II

All wrestling, judo & sambo style takedowns are allowed. There is NO slamming or throwing your opponent on their head or neck. If/when you pick your opponent up you MUST deliver them safely to the mat.

How to win: The takedown tournament will follow a ‘best 2 outta 3′ style. You must take your opponent down twice before advancing forward in the bracket. You must take your opponent down to their hip, side, back, shoulders or butt and hold them for 3 seconds.

Schedule

8 – 9 am: On-Site Reg. & Weigh-Ins for all Kids & Teens. Scales close at 9 am!
10 am: Start of Kids and Teens. Gi divisions; then No-Gi.
11 – 12 noon: On-Site Reg. & Weigh-Ins for Adult Gi. Scales close at 12 noon!
1 pm: Start of Adult Gi matches followed by Gi Absolute divisions.
1 – 2 pm: On-Site Reg. & Weigh-Ins for Adult No-Gi. Scales close at 2 pm!
3 pm: Start of Adult No-Gi matches followed No-Gi Absolute divisions.
5 pm: Approximate start time of the No-Gi takedown tournament. Must be weighed in by 2 pm!

All competitors can weigh-in Fri. or Sat. You can weigh-in on Fri, the night before the tournament from 5 -8 pm, or Sat. prior to the start of your division, within the cut-off times.

We welcome all schools to join us and participate in this fantastic event at Central Middle School in Bayville, NJ. The Central Middle School is conveniently located right off the Garden State Parkway in the center of NJ.

Our mission for each event is to bring the best competition in BJJ to New Jersey. To bring together those academies, teams and individuals searching for a traditional Brazilian Jiu Jitsu championship and the spread of our art. The rules used in this event follow the traditional rules utilized by the IBJJF, with the greatest objective being to preserve the integrity of the competitors and to give our spectators a true show of the sport.
