These two events, being held on one day, continue the tradition of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (Gi) and Sport Submission Grappling (No-Gi) in the Northwest. This is a unique opportunity for the arts of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Submission Grappling to showcase, grow, and obtain new students into the art of Grappling.

Location:
All 2010 events will be held at Liberty High School in Hillsboro, Oregon. The events run from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. More detailed event schedules will be posted the week prior to each event on subleague.com (after registration closes).

Subleague Grappling Tournament Championship

The much anticipated 2010 Submission Wrestling League (aka Sub League) season has finally arrived. This is submission grappling at its best, where matches end in a win, lose, or draw. No points, just submissions.

This is the League’s sixth season. As usual, we expect to draw more than 800 fans and competitors under one roof, while running six competition rings, and serving up around 1,000 matches throughout the day – at each of our three events.

2010 Season Details

Note that the February and April events are open to all competitors. The Championship is reserved for competitors who qualify at either or both of the February and April events. Additionally, there will be an open tournament on the day of the Championship for those athletes who either did not qualify or were not able to compete in the earlier events.

Competitors:
All athletes who registered before February 4, 2010, for Sub League’s Qualifier #1, will receive a free t-shirt at the event. Just stop by the t-shirt display, next to the concessions table to pick yours up.

Medals will be awarded to all first, second, and third place winners and top team trophies will be presented at all three events. To get your team on the board, make sure you enter your gym/team name on your registration form.

Wellington Megaton Dias BJJ Seminar

We will be hosting a seminar with Megaton on the 27th and 28th of February!

Wellington “Megaton” Dias is an offical black belt representative of the Royler Gracie Jiu Jitsu Association. Some of Megaton’s accomplishments are: 4x world champion medalist, 6x Pan American Championship medalist, 4x International BJJ championship medalist and 2x US National Champion. Megaton is Cheif Brazilian Jiuu Jitsu instructor for Northwest MArtial Arts. Mark your schedules, this will be a great seminar before the Pan Am games.
